How long have you been in business?
I formed GAP Consulting at the end of 2007.
What is your primary product or service?
I build customized websites for small businesses, mostly local to the Greater Sacramento area. I can also help with marketing online and social media. I specialize in the small entrepreneur types of businesses that can't afford to put thousands into their marketing, but are really good at what they do and just need to be found by local customers who can benefit from the products or services they provide.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I had been introduced to a company that sought to do online advertising for small businesses. That company grew too fast and didn't survive...but my passion to help the small business owner persisted and I was asked one day to help with a new website. That was the beginning of the path we are on now. I was very surprised to learn how many small businesses and entrepreneurs don't have online representation! In our world now, that's missing a HUGE opportunity!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My business is small, just like most of my clients. I give personal service and value. I am involved in personally trying to grow their businesses, and I do what I do for them at a fraction of the cost of most of my competitors in the marketplace.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
GAP Consulting is just me, and no - I don't plan to expand at this time.
Provide detailed directions to your location
I am in Roseville, CA. However, I will meet with clients at a "neutral" site or at their place of business. That is usually the way it works out best for them and that is what I feel is best and most convenient for my clients.
What type of payments do you accept?
I accept cash, check, Visa, MC or PayPal.
Which areas do you service?
Generally, I serve the Greater Sacramento area. However, since my business is web-based, I can help anyone just about anywhere via the net.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
My name is Gregg Ponath, and I am the owner/consultant for GAP Consulting.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Probably the best compliment is when they tell another business about my service and refer me to them. It's always gratifying to hear that what I've done is helping my clients. Truthfully, I really don't actively market GAP Consulting - but my clients do and almost all of the work I've done and am engaged in is by referral.
