How long have you been in business?
I officially launched my business in May of 1983, although I had been creating custom garments for men and women since 1976.
What is your primary product or service?
Custom couture clothing for women. I specialize in Bridal and 60% of my business in Bridal Gown Alterations performed on gowns purchased elsewhere.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started sewing at the age of 10, by the age of 13, I was sewing all my own clothes as well as clothes for my mother and younger sister. It was a dream to attend a college where I could learn to draft my own patterns. Before I graduated, word of mouth had me in business creating clothing for a myriad of different people. I dabbled as a swimwear designer and menswear designer before finding my calling with Bridal and Mother of the Bride.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
35 years of experience and my customer service is unmatched.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I am fortunate to created a lovely studio behind my home. I work from this one location although my seamstress has an equally beautiful location and we are able to do all our work between the two locations.
